Sie darf frei genutzt, verändert und weitergegeben werden – auch ohne Namensnennung. Auftragsarbeiten sind ausgenommen; dort behält der Lizenzgeber alle Rechte. Die Marken Moritzsoft und LayerNX dürfen nicht genutzt werden, um eine offizielle Verbindung vorzutäuschen.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, AND DISTRIBUTION
1. DEFINITIONS
"License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 7 of this document.
"Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner, Moritz Eckhard Nickel
(operating as Moritzsoft and as LayerNX), or entity authorized by the
copyright owner that is granting the License.
"Software" shall mean the copyrightable work of authorship, including
but not limited to source code, object code, documentation, and
associated media files, made available under this License.
"Assets" shall mean images, textures, 3D models, audio files, and
branding elements contained within the Software.
"Brands" shall mean the trade names, logos and other branding of the
Licensor, specifically "Moritzsoft" and "LayerNX" (including the
LayerNX logo and the product names derived from it, such as
"LayerNX Search" and the "LNX" product names).
"Public Release" shall mean Software explicitly and intentionally
published by the Licensor to the general public as open-source
material under this License.
"Commissioned Work" shall mean any custom Software, Assets, or
digital products created by the Licensor on a private, request, or
commission basis (Auftragsbasis) that are not explicitly made
available to the general public as a Public Release.
2. GRANT OF LICENSE (FOR PUBLIC RELEASES ONLY)
Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, and strictly
limited to Software provided as a Public Release, the Licensor hereby
grants to You a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge,
royalty-free, irrevocable license to reproduce, prepare derivative
works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and
distribute the Software and its derivative works in Source or
Object form.
3. EXCLUSION OF COMMISSIONED WORKS AND RIGHT OF REVOCATION
This License in its irrevocable form (as stated in Section 2) DOES
NOT apply to Commissioned Works or any Software/Assets not explicitly
published as a Public Release by the Licensor.
For all Commissioned Works or non-public products, the Licensor
(Moritz Eckhard Nickel) strictly retains full copyright and all
exclusive rights. Any implicit or explicit permission granted to use,
reproduce, display, or distribute a Commissioned Work is inherently
revocable. The Licensor explicitly reserves the absolute right to
withdraw, terminate, or revoke any usage, distribution, and
modification rights for Commissioned Works at any time, with or
without cause, unless expressly superseded by a separate written
agreement.
4. ATTRIBUTION (ZERO CLAUSE)
Unlike standard open source licenses, this License strictly waives any
requirement for attribution for Public Releases. You are NOT required
to include the original copyright notice, license text, or credit to
the Licensor in any derivative works or redistributions of the Software.
5. USE OF ASSETS AND BRANDING
5.1. Inclusion of Assets: Permission is granted to use, display, and
distribute Assets (including logos and branding materials)
included within the Software in their original form as part of
the Software's operation.
5.2. Replaceability: The Licensor warrants that the Software is
architected to facilitate the modification and replacement of
Assets (e.g., via configuration files, stream folders, or asset
dictionaries).
5.3. Recommendation: While the use of default Assets is permitted,
the Licensee is encouraged to replace branding Assets, in
particular the Brands "Moritzsoft" and "LayerNX", to establish
independent identity. The Licensor shall not be held liable for
conflicts arising from the use of default branding in third-party
environments.
6. NO AFFILIATION / IMPERSONATION
Use of the Software and its Assets does not grant You the right to use
the Licensor's Brands (specifically "Moritzsoft" and "LayerNX") to
endorse or promote products derived from this Software, nor to claim
official affiliation, successor status, or partnership with the
Licensor, Moritzsoft or LayerNX, without specific prior written
permission.
7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING, LICENSOR
PROVIDES THE SOFTWARE ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR
CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT,
MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU ARE SOLELY
RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS OF USING OR
REDISTRIBUTING THE SOFTWARE AND ASSUME ANY RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH
YOUR EXERCISE OF PERMISSIONS UNDER THIS LICENSE.

Änderungen in 1.2
- Die Marke LayerNX (inklusive Logo und LNX-Produktnamen wie „LayerNX Search“) ist wie „Moritzsoft“ geschützt (Abschnitte 1, 5.3 und 6).
- Lizenzgeber tritt als Moritzsoft und als LayerNX auf.
- Alle übrigen Bedingungen sind unverändert gegenüber Version 1.1 vom 17. März 2026.
